About Anegada
Geography: Anegada is the most northerly of all the British Virgin Islands. It is of coral formation with numerous salt ponds. Anegada’s Western salt ponds are a Ramsar site and favourable for bird watching.
Population: Currently estimated at 285 people.
Economy: The waters around Anegada are rich with fish of varying species as well as lobsters, conchs, turtles and whelks. Tourism and fishing are the main industries on this island.
Business: Most of the businesses on the island are locally own. Among these are hotels, villas, restaurants, gift shops, car rentals, a gas station and a cargo barge for shipping
